Kassi Update Week 7 & 8

Okay, I didn't even post an update for my 7 week, I was too depressed to.  I'm sorry. Embarrassed  I had no weight loss to report, just the same weight, no loss, no gain.  and wasn't really excited to share the news.  I also had a rough couple of weeks dealing with the anniversary of our lost child.  But on a good note, we were able to name the child, instead of constantly referring to it as "the Baby" or "it".  We were 16 weeks along and they said it was too early to determine the sex, so we never really thought to give it a name.  I finally said "enough!", this child deserves a name...so off I went searching for unisex names and I bumped into one that stood out to me.  Avery.  It meant a lot to me because my grandfather (who is also passed) was named Averille.  We named the baby after him and we hope and pray that my grandfather is with this child until we can be.  We named it Avery L. so it sounds a lot like Averille, but could be a boy or a girl.  We were very happy for that.  We went to the cemetery and the children each wrote a message on a balloon and released it in hopes it would make it to our little "Avery".  The kids all watched as it disappeared into the clouds and each felt satisfied their message reached Avery.  I think it did. Angel.  My husband is working on a remembrance page for Avery, I will let you know when it is complete if you would like to view it.  I think these things will help me stay on point with my weight loss because a large reason why I gained the weight was from dealing with the depression in a negative feed my sadness kind of way.  I am in hopes that these positive things we are doing to heal through this will help me to stop abusing my body by eating unnecessarily.

Well, something good did come from this week, I lost 3 pounds!  A lot of it was probably stress related, but I have been conscious of my eating and have still been doing the "Cruise Moves" as shown on my list above.  I can feel a difference in my clothes and am beginning to see a difference in firming up.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me through this process.  It has been so great.  Well, 20 pounds lost...10 more to go!!  Who knows, I may even change my goal weight soon. Wink

Well folks, she WON!  We would have never guessed in a million years she could win something like this!  She actually had the procedure done last Friday!  She is in a LOT of pain, but feels it will be worth it in the end.  Thanks so much to everybody who supported her!

Kassi Update-Week 6

Okay, I'm getting a little bugged.  I only lost a pound again. Down to 153.  I know, a pound is a pound, but it is going to take FOREVER this way and I REALLY want to start buying cute clothes for the spring and summer!  So far, I am still in my old clothes, they just fit me better.  I still have a stomach, but I do think it is less.  I promised I would work on update photos and I will-I swear!  I was a little afraid to do it last week because of my "monthly" bloating.  So I should be able to get something up tonight or tomorrow!  I hope I (and you) can see a difference.  I know I will get there, it is just difficult when I am trying to eat so good and don't drop 2 or more pounds.  I did just start some exercises (Cruise Moves)-see our weight loss tips for scans and descriptions.  The are Jorge Cruise's workout moves, which he swears will help burn fat even more than cardio and you can do them in your house with very little equipment.  I just started them on Monday, so maybe next week I will see a difference.  Thanks to everybody for being so supportive, I know everyone is having a hard time, some harder than me...but you still find time to console me in my frustrations and I really appreciate that!  I don't mean to be inpatient, but I  tend to be a  "instant results" kind of person.  I know that is nothing to brag on, but usually when I want something, I go out and get it, I even pay extra to get it right away if I have to.  Obviously this is not something I can buy and is teaching me the benefit of good old fashioned "hard work" and "patience".  I think (hope) that will make me appreciate it that much more and work that much harder at keeping it off.  I allowed my depression to take control of my life and my eating and that is how I ended up this way, I need to take control back and perhaps, in turn, conquer my depression as well.  I lost a child last year, which really made me give up on myself.  I found very little motivation in doing something good for myself and instead punished myself like I did something wrong.  I know I didn't, but it is a natural thing for a mother to do.  I am coming up on the year anniversary of her death (March 29) and can only hope to have myself in a better place---physically, mentally and spiritually.  I really want to thank each one of you for all of your encouraging words.  I know I couldn't be doing this successfully without that support.  Embarrassed  I will keep trying.  I hope you all do the same.  We have to "keep moving" as they say in Finding Nemo...right??
